In his eight seasons as University of Wisconsin football coach, McClain left an indelible mark on the program -- from beating No. 1 Michigan on the opening weekend of the 1981 season, to upset wins over Ohio State, to the Badgers' first bowl bid since the 1963 Rose Bowl.
