"We are ready for a rich season in terms of repertoire and artists. The audience will enjoy some of the most difficult to perform pieces of the 20th century. Among them are Mahler's symphonies, which will be performed to commemorate 100 years after his death. We are to open and close the season with two symphonies by Shostakovich. Stravinsky's Rite Of Spring and Concerto for Orchestra by Bela Bartok are also included in the programme. These are works that can only be performed by highly professional orchestras. Soloists will be renowned musicians such as violinists Mincho Minchev, Dimo Dimov, Svetlin Rusev, cellist Anatoli Krustev, and pianist Yovcho Krushev. These are only some of the names that will make their contribution to the high quality of this musical season.
