Rhythm guitarist John Roles convened Toronto-based Bond in 1970; the lineup included lead guitarist Alex MacDougall, bassist Bill Dunn, drummer Jeff Hamilton and keyboardist Ted Trenholm. Signing with Columbia in 1975, Bond hit it big with their first single, "Dancin' on a Saturday Night." An eponymous album also appeared in 1975. The band broke up in 1979. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
