B-Legit (aka the Savage) had previously performed with the Click before striking out on his own with 1995's Tryin' to Get a Buck. For his second release, 1996's Hemp Museum, he moved to Jive Records and worked with E-40 and Kurupt (the Dogg Pound); Ghetto Smile followed in 1997, and two years later B-Legit resurfaced with Hempin' Ain't Easy and then Hempin' in mid-2000. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
