All the way back in 2005, The Little Ones stormed into the early music blog scene with "Lovers Who Uncover" , a song that boiled over on falsetto chorus that bemoaned everything with a sighing, "oh no". The bridge invoked a different faded glamor, "way back when we were the latest around," before the lead guitar line and a series of fist-punching "hey's" papered over this richly modern anxiety.

On Saturday afternoon, ABC No Rio hosted the first-ever NYC show ever by Argonauts, the new band featuring vocalist Dimitri Minakakis (ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan), guitarist John Adubato (Burnt by the Sun), bassist Brett Bamberger (East of the Wall, The Binary Code's old touring line-up), and drummer Dave Witte (seriously if you don't know who Dave Witte is stop reading this right now and go do some homework).

DIY mainstay ABC No Rio erupted on Saturday afternoon (10/8) when Thou played a cover of Beastie Boys' "Sabotage" (video below), though by the time they launched into said cover the packed and sold out room was already knee deep in great riffs.
