On Monday, August 6, Pitchfork.tv on YouTube will premiere the music video for "Cut the World", the previously unreleased title track from Antony and the Johnsons ' upcoming live album , out August 6 on Rough Trade in the UK and August 7 through Secretly Canadian in the U.S. The video was directed by NABIL , who has directed videos for Kanye West ("Mercy", "Coldest Winter"), Bon Iver ("Towers", "Holocene"), Frank Ocean ("Swim Good", "Novacane"), and many more.

Antony and the Johnsons Announce Swanlights Concert

Antony (of Antony and the Johnsons) has been commissioned by the Museum of Modern Art to put together a large-scale concert and performance event called Swanlights , with Antony and the Johnsons, on January 26th at Radio City Music Hall. Swanlights will feature a 60-piece orchestra, and is the evoloution of The Crying Light , which was presented at the Manchester Opera House for the 2009 Manchester International Festival.

I agree with Tyler that Lauryn herself was quite respectable and a real inspiration to watch. unfortunately, I too had the same experience as the first two reviewers: horribly muddy sound (we were in the lower balcony); it took nearly a full song (10 minutes) for the sound guy to get things together for the Hot 8, and up until that point I was fearing the worst: they sounded like a high school big band.
