The official announcement of this year's Mayhem Fest line-up won't come 'til March 18 — but it looks like we might be able to surmise the identities of a few of the bands on the bill right now. …and then three bands — Amon Amarth, Job for a Cowboy, and Battlecross — posted the following messages on their respective Facebook pages: It's fairly unlikely that the bill is still being sorted out three weeks before its announcement, so it seems like a safe bet that the participation of these bands isn't just wishful thinking.

The concert will feature core musicians and special guests from Grohl's Festival-selected film, Sound City. Metal Blade Records celebrated their thirtieth anniversary this past Friday night with a show at the House of Blues in Los Angeles, which featured Armored Saint, Sacred Reich and Gypsy Hawk… which would be a cool-enough line-up, but Armored Saint also ripped through some killer covers of Metallica's "Hit the Lights" and Slayer's "Die by the Sword" with labelmates Johan Hegg (Amon Amarth) and Ray Alder (Fates Warning), respectively.
