As 2012 draws to a close, most of the POPDOSE writers will painstakingly select their top albums, movies and TV shows of the year with all of the drama of the Bachelor's "Most Shocking Rose Ceremony Ever." We expect great things to come from Amanda Mair. The the tender-aged Swede's self-titled debut on Labrador (one of our favourite labels) saw her paired with Mary Onettes leader Philip Ekström , who helped write and produce the record (along with label boss and Club 8 man Johan Angergård ). More that simply a showcase for Amanda's talent, the fine record announced the arrival of someone who we're almost certain will be the queen of intelligent, songwriterly pop before she even hits her twenties.
