Gangsta-funk rapper Akinyele (aka Akinyele Adams) followed the obscenity-laced recordings of 2 Live Crew with his own homage to sex on his 1993 debut, Vagina Diner. Recorded for Interscope, it was followed a year later by Bomb. After moving to Zoo Records, Akinyele found an underground radio hit with the title track from his 1996 EP, Put It in Your Mouth. Aktapuss: The Soundtrack followed in 1999. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
