What the Critics Say
When I Fall in Love encompasses several of the Lettermen's light vocal pop harmonies applied to familiar songs, mainly standards, they recorded in the early '60s. Among the ten tracks include "When I Fall in Love," "Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing," "Secret Love," "Too Young," and "The Way You Look Tonight." Fans of the Beach Boys should note the inclusion of "Graduation Day," which was originally recorded by the Four Freshmen, another vocal combo who were a major influence on both the Lettermen and Brian Wilson. Originally recorded for Capitol Records, this set is far from a perfect Lettermen retrospective, but it's a nice sampler of familiar items. ~ Al Campbell, All Music Guide
