Part poet priestess, part hip-hop queen, and part neo-soul goddess, Question uses her debut album to lift her gender, race, and self. And with such lofty goals, Vital Energy does become polemic and preachy. And its overlength doesn't help matters, since Question really doesn't have the material to back such excess.
