What the Critics Say
This Luis Enrique recording may not have the elements of innovation and inventiveness that made the preceding Luces del Alma (1990) a wonder. Still, this recording is pretty good, as the singer excels in a careful, high-quality production. The highlights: "Fantasia," "El Amor Es Algo Más," "Por Ti," "Promesa de Mis Viejos," and the title tune. Luis Enrique continues to shine in the early-'90s salsa trend. ~ José A.
