What the Critics Say
This single was released by Ryko in 1994 to promote the Morphine song "Thursday" from the album Cure for Pain. For the newer fan, the disc includes the song "You Look Like Rain" from their previous album Good. The inclusion of older LP tracks is generally an annoying waste of an opportunity to provide rare B-sides. While that is true here, the two album tracks seem very related, an revelation crated by juxtaposing them on this CD. The only non-LP track is "Mary Won't You Call My Name," recorded live at KCRW in Los Angeles on January 4th, 1994. This thrilling but short track is worth the purchase price alone.
