What the Critics Say

In 1991, CEMA (a subsidiary of Capitol, Cole's original label) put out a discount album reprising Cole's greatest hits. Regrettably, there are no real examples of Cole's piano virtuosity on the album, as it focuses solely on his vocal prowess. Luckily, his vocal prowess was also nearly unmatchable. The album contains his most famous songs, of course: "Unforgettable," "Too Young," and "When I Fall in Love." On a bright note, it also contains his earlier "Nature Boy" and "Ramblin' Rose," as well as slightly more obscure gems, such as "Non Dimenticar." Overall, a worthy buy at nearly any price, but certainly a good buy at the discount level. ~ Adam Greenberg, All Music Guide
