Toronto's Headstones continue to engrave their standing as one of Canada's most meaningful purveyors of hard rock. In the plus column, check off solid, non-pretentious, streetwise, punk-inflected songs, power-chord noise and memorable riffs, and seedy, unpretentious lyrics. On the short side, the disc battles demons common to sophomore releases competing with stellar debuts - the spontaneous rush of new discovery has been lost; sometimes-unrealistic expectations have built up; there just never seem to be as many memorable moments as that first magic go-round. ~ Roch Parisien, All Music Guide
