What the Critics Say
The sound on Jetscreamer's debut album is described as "Texan psychedelic rock music," and the nine songs here are a great hybrid of the guitar textures of such bands as My Bloody Valentine and Swervedriver mixed with punk rock and some Texas attitude. There are lots of good jams and the guitar gives off a great feel, sometimes sounding like a pedal steel and sometimes having a good blues-rock sound akin to Led Zeppelin, while at other times it's more like the sound that one hears from various jam bands. The music is almost always upbeat but not necessarily lighthearted, and the wonderful riffs only make things all the more so. Having been mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London, the final product is very crisp and authentic. Hopefully, this sound can be reproduced to be just as rockin' in a live setting. ~ Kurt Morris, All Music Guide
