What the Critics Say
An odd but delightful survey of Shuman's singing career in France -- there's even a cabaret-style rendition (in French, natch) of "Save the Last Dance for Me." Shuman clearly still has a toe or two if not an entire foot in Brooklyn, but the rest of him is under the spell of Parisian vocal music of the postwar (and pre-rock & roll) period. ~ Bruce Eder, All Music Guide
