This promotional CD single contains a radio edit of "Rodeo Clowns," a track from G. Love & Special Sauce's Philadelphonic, along with a remix by King Britt, and "instrumental" (well, actually, there are a few vocals, so call it "dub") and "a cappella" (well, actually, there are some instrumental sounds) versions. The King Britt version takes the already seductively funky groove of the original and adds a rap-this isn't merely a "mix, " it's a new version built on the basic tracks of the original. It takes an already catchy tune into another realm, but this song still isn't likely to fill dance floors. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide
