The Allman Brothers Band entry in Universal's environmentally friendly, three-disc Playlist Plus series features all of the hits and more from the legendary boogie/Southern rock outfit, including "Midnight Rider," "Statesboro Blues," "Whipping Post," "Ramblin' Man," "Melissa," and "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed." There are far easier-to-digest Allman Brothers compilations out there like Stand Back: The Anthology, but for the right price this collection does the job just fine. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
