What the Critics Say
Sounding like the Mighty Mighty Bosstones in their early years, the Know How also have a gruff vocalist like Dicky Barrett in Skyler Stone and a prominent, vibrant use of horns courtesy of trumpet/trombone talent Evan Cantwell. Beneath it all, the six-piece band skillfully brings large, winning choruses to its welcome punk and ska hybrid on tracks like "Better Way" and the lovelorn "Fell for You." If the Know How lack any real stylistic originality, they've got heaps of energy and an uncanny ability to write melodic keepers. From the Less Than Jake-inspired spunk of "Why Wait" to the pop-ska delights of "No One Makes It Out Alive," these lads have brought their game to Now in Technicolor. ~ John D.
