Composer and pianist, Mike Strickland presents a collection of music from stage and screen along with some original tunes on My Favorite Things, Volume Two. His transcriptions of the music from "Out of Africa," "Forest Gump," "Little Mermaid," and "Sophie's Choice" is stylish and light. The selections of songs are refreshingly different. Strickland's original songs are upbeat and jazzy with a little bit of Brazilian flair. His playing shows panache and verve.
