What the Critics Say
Stephanie Mills is barely five feet tall but packs a wallop that defies her size. This brief eight-song set provides a good introduction to the songstress for those not down with the native New Yorker. Midtempo love tales "Never Knew Love Like This Before" and "Whatcha Gonna Do with My Lovin'" are exciting vehicles for Mills expressive soprano. Her classic duet with Teddy Pendergrass, "Feel the Fire," takes the Peabo Bryson composition to dizzying heights. Mills work magic on "Two Hearts," an understated beat ballad, and the innocent "Sweet Sensation." Definitely not definitive, but a good sampling of her talents. ~ Andrew Hamilton, All Music Guide
