What the Critics Say
These 15 cuts by Prince represent most of the best of his Warner period by containing most of the A-sides he cut for the label. That said, this was such a complex and creative time for the artist, that a single disc is not nearly enough, especially given the double-disc collection that includes the B-sides (of which many are better than their flipped fronts), or even the triple disc which has the 12" mixes and remixes as well.
