What the Critics Say
Hello Christmas is a lovely, moving holiday album from Donald Lawrence. Supported by the Tri-City Singers, Lawrence runs through many familiar items ("Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer," "Little Drummer Boy," "Carol of the Bells"), plus a handful of newly written originals in the contemporary R&B vein, albeit with a religious theme. Occasionally, the sound is a little too slick, but Lawrence is always an engaging vocalist, and there's a real warmth to the record that makes it a satisfying holiday listen. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
