Disney Wishes! is a 15-song offering of something truly special in the Disney catalog. The elegance and simplicity of the Make A Wish Foundation is amazing: to grant terminally ill children a single wish no matter how large or small. Disney has been partnered with the foundation for several years, and in this act of charity has donated all of the proceeds from this disc to the Make A Wish Foundation. Many familiar Disney anthems, tunes that are anchors in the company's massive songbook, are included here; sung by many of pop music's A-list performers. Elton John's "Can You Feel the Love Tonight," "You'll Be in My Heart" by Phil Collins, and the duet of Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle on "A Whole New World" are but a few of the familiar songs sung by their original artists. But it's the inclusion of new renditions by Barbra Streisand ("Some Day My Prince Will Come"), Linda Rondstadt ("A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes"), and the always classy Tony Bennett singing "The Bare Necessities" that make this disc a keeper for Disney fans.
