What the Critics Say
Former Kansas band member John Elefante released Defying Gravity in 1999. The album, being a blend of CCM, adult contemporary, and alternative Christian, offers an eclectic assortment of musical stylings. Included in this are "Pass the Flame," featuring a soft folk-rock sound with pop-country influences, "Home With a View," which is CCM set at a moderate pace with a catchy melody, and the rock-oriented "Don't Leave the Band." Elefante served as a co-writer on all ten of the project's tracks.
