What the Critics Say
The debut album by Headrillaz (actually more a collection of their early singles like "Spacefunk," "Hot 'N' Bovvud," and "Screaming Headz") mines similar ground to the Chemical Brothers, specifically uptempo big-beat techno with enough vocal samples and siren calls to interest those not used to electronic music with little or no traditional structure. In general, Coldharbour Rocks has fewer ideas than contemporary work by the more popular the Chemical Brothers; though it is enjoyable enough in its own right, many artists have done better. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
