Released with "By Your Side" as a free limited edition CD by the FNAC record store chain in France, this three tracker features two unreleased Black Crowes leftovers from the album's sessions. "It Must Be Over" is a basic, meat and potatoes rocker originally conceived for the band's aborted Band Sessions. And while clearly not as strong as any of the material which eventually made the album, "You Don't Have to go" is an interesting, mellow cut based on the main riff from another discarded cut entitled "Pastoral" -- written at the height of the Crowes' hippie yore in 1995. The CD-5 is rounded off by a live version of Shake Your Money Maker's "Twice As Hard" lifted from a performance on Hard Rock Live just prior to the release of By Your Side. ~ John Franck, All Music Guide
