What the Critics Say
This was originally released on Atlantic Records in 1958, and was reissued on CD in 1994. Ahmet Ertegun, an Atlantic legend, produced it and Darin co-wrote seven of the 12 songs. Somebody tried to remake Darin into a young Dean Martin and failed. Only the most ardent Bobby Darin fans should consider purchasing this CD. The most commercial songs are "I Found a Million Dollar Baby (In a Five and Ten Cent Store)" and his hit "Splish Splash," and they aren't worldbeaters. ~ Andrew Hamilton, All Music Guide
