What the Critics Say

Forget the new blow-dried and downright respectable look comedian Ron White sports on the cover because it doesn't match the wonderfully casual flow of Behavioral Problems at all. Here the gruff Blue Collar veteran is at ease, effortlessly coasting over topics like women, booze, pot, and freedom in a manner that seems off the cuff, even though the high laugh count suggests this one is carefully scripted. White recounts his USO tour with what has to be the only touching and funny story about a wounded soldier, and explains that his healthy yet monogamous sex life with wife number three is based on mutual understanding ("She knows what I like and I know what she won't do"). Longtime fans will especially enjoy his vicious skewering of the paper company who sued him for slander and the comfortable way the set ramps up to one of the comedian's favorite topics, alcohol. Better still is how this CD provides more material than the television special of the same name. With its tendency to wander, Behavioral Problems isn't the one to start with. It is, however, a perfect choice for returning fans who always wondered what it would be like to hang out with the one they call "Tater Salad". ~ David Jeffries, All Music Guide
