What the Critics Say

Eddie Ojeda will always be best known among headbangers as one half of the guitar duo in Twisted Sister. But in 2006, Ojeda decided to step out on his own, and issued his first ever solo release, Axes 2 Axes. Expectedly, the material reflects the heavy metal style of his full-time band -- in fact, Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider even drops by for a metallicized cover of the Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby." Other special guests drop by as well, including Ronnie James Dio on the album opening "Tonight," as well as additional appearances by Joe Lynn Turner and Rudy Sarzo, among others. Ojeda also gets to show off his six-string skills on such tracks as "Funky Monkey" and especially the Joe Satriani-esque title track. Twisted Sister fans are sure to enjoy hearing one of their top guitar heroes showcase his abilities throughout Axes 2 Axes. ~ Greg Prato, All Music Guide
