What the Critics Say
The Lovemongers are the unplugged side of Heart's Ann and Nancy Wilson. A Lovemonger's Christmas is a collection of mostly original seasonal material with a couple of classic nuggets thrown in such as "O Holy Night," and "Ave Maria " (it's not really a Christmas song, but what the hell). Sue Ennis, Craig Bartock, and Frank Cox join the sisters, among others. This is a low-key affair that is not without its charm, but it's nothing to set the world on fire either, like Jupiter's Darling, the Heart comeback album, issued earlier this year.
